IMI has debuted on the Billboard Urban Chart with it’s project UrbanNation featuring 10 songs written and all produced by Steve Ivey.

IMI is in the Billboard Top 10 Charts for the 270th consecutive week. At some weeks over this 3 year period IMI has had up to 4 CD’s in one week on the Billboard TOP 10 which is an accomplishment only a handful of companies have reached and made IMI one of the top sellers in Bluegrass over the last decade..
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles, CA gives annual nominations and awards to recognize the best in this area of work. IMI has been nominated for its work in writing and producing music used on television. IMI won an Emmy for music in television. You can hear the music IMI creates on shows such as SIMPLE LIFE, SIMPLE LIFE 2, THE MAKING OF COYOTE UGLY, THE E! NETWORK, THE STYLE NETWORK, ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, 700 CLUB, ESPN2 and on various national commercials such as JOES CRABSHACK and FLOORZ AMERICA. IMI was also nominated for a Dove award in 2009.
The highest honor in the music industry is the prestigious Grammy Award. In 2003, IMI produced and wrote songs for the Grammy nominated project, “Squeezebox” with the musician/singer LynnMarie.
“It truly is an honor to be recognized at such a high level, especially when the artist and I were just going about our work of trying to make the best possible music we could with our resources,” said Steve Ivey, producer/writer of the project. Steve participated in the Grammy nomination as producer, songwriter, musician, engineer, and background vocalist.
The Tele Awards New York, NY are given annually to recognize excellence in TV commercials, video, and programs. IMI was awarded the top award (The SIlver Tele) this year for music written and produced for video. IMI has also won the second pl0ce award (The Bronze Tele) for music written and produced by Steve Ivey.
IMI recieved the #1 spot this year on GAC for the song “Hard Times” written by Steve Ivey and Jesse Lee Campbell, and produced by Steve Ivey.
The NAAPA association awards recording projects that excel in both technical merit as well as make a significant contribution in content to benefit the lives of adolescents. There are three levels of awards given with the Gold award being the highest level of achievement.
The association awarded IMI with the Gold award for its production and songwriting excellence on the project “In My Arms” with the world renowned artist Crystal Gayle. The project idea was created by Steve Ivey who served as producer/songwriter on all of the songs.
